Original Paint Shortie Thread, Lets see them

I have a thing for original paint trucks, short beds especially. I have my newly acquired DD 70 original paint, 350, ac, tilt, tach/vacum, headliner, wood bed, power brakes, power steering... Trucks runs really nice, I got it off of the second owner. The blue one was sold and the green one is an original 4 on the floor, 350 with a factory posi

Re: Original Paint Shortie Thread, Lets see them

Not original paint but this was my 1st car my pops gave me for my 17th B-day. This is what got me started with these trucks. Sadly I was at a stoplight when someone fell asleep at the wheel and hit me, totaled the truck

Thanks, ya it's in pretty nice condition. He used it to haul parts in the back but he takes good care of his items. He had it for about 26 years before he finally decided to sell it. Up close there are a little more nicks and dings here but overall in great condition

Re: Original Paint Shortie Thread, Lets see them

I never turn down a chance to pimp out pics of the old girl.
128k original miles.
All paint is original except rockers and inside of cab.
When I had my detailer buff it last year, he said "that's the last time we can do that. That stuff's getting thin". lol

I love the original paint and patina stuff. They only have original paint once. This old girl will never see a paint gun (except maybe in the engine bay)
Took me years to find a truck this dry and straight. Rene, I envy you guys on the west coast.

All of the above trucks are beautiful.

I think your truck is sweet! It has some great options. Its too bad someone cut it to put in a cd player. It looks cool with the bike in the bed.

TTT, just swapped out the deep rally's for the original steelies and some newer caps. The tires are a lot taller as well, they fill out the Wells perfect. Opinions on before and after. I also removed the tailgate modling, I like the painted chevrolet better and it shines nice still

Not pretty, but it is original paint.... The front fender had not been CLR'd in this pic.

well, I can't see the before (since both pics are the after, I think), but I know I like the after better. The steelies look awesome. What trim did you pull from the tailgate?? Did it have woodgrain panel? Just curious - if you did, did you have to paint the letters orange? (i.e. I always wondered if they were painted under thar....)

Truck looks really nice - jocko like!
