71 gmc tailgate

i have a 71 GMC tailgate with no dents. how much is it worth? i see the repops going for 300 bucks and this on is cherry. been in storage for over 10 years

Without seeing in person and knowing if original paint or not (everyones idea of "cherry" varies), pictures would really help in pricing it. In the past, I have sold decent original paint GMC gates in the $250 range (low side) to as much as $600 (high side) for an exellent condition "take off" 67/68 GMC small panel gate.

On a side note for comparison, I just got this nos GMC gate of of ebay for $600. to my door

it does have a couple small dents. no rust

You know, I never knew they were worth this much either. I sold a super nice one it had one dent at the top edge and no rust with the chrome time for 50 bucks. I kept the one I had with 0 dents and 0 rust. The guy still whined about it and had to think it over. After that I got to trying to mount mine up to my bed and found mine looks sweet but its twisted. Now I need to find one thats not twisted up. Oh well live and learn. For yours I could honestly say 200+ for sure.
