Lowering My 70 Stepside!!!

Well I got my kit today from DJM to lower my 70 stepside... I think the flip kit will be the hardest part. Shocks and springs I have done before...

Na, hardest part will be getting the bolts loose. Pretty straight forward...

Re: Lowering My 70 Stepside!!!

Yes I just purchased a home and I have been in it for less than a month so unpacking has been my main focus but I did stop long enough to order parts...

Re: Lowering My 70 Stepside!!!

What are you "LEAF spring" guys doing for the shock mounts? In corn's picture,... it looks like the shocks are really laying down! Also how much room to the frame rail? Is this going to require a c-notch?

Re: Lowering My 70 Stepside!!!

I think most of the guys I've seen with a flip have had to notch the frame.

Re: Lowering My 70 Stepside!!!

I havent notched mine yet but probably will. I dont haul much & its never touched yet, but its close. Here's another shot with the box off, so you can see the shock angle better...
