When Im sitting parked it will cut off or when im sitting at a stop sign or light it will usually do it. I thought of using sea foam or some of that stuff from prestone please let me know what to do.

Re: My truck is cutting off again

We need more info to figure it out if it is fuel, ignition or mechanical related. Does it just cut out abruptly or does the engine lope or idle slow, is there any strange sounds or smells when it stalls, Does it do it cold or hot....anymore info would be good.

Yeah, need more info, soil samples, something more to go on. We can speculate out the wazoo and you'll be chasing your tail to no end. A little knowledge is dangerous. Get all you can.

It does it hot and cold. When the motor is idling it will sometimes cut off for no reason. It has no strange sounds or smells when it stalls. I run 93 octane so whats the problem? When I would run 87 octane it did not want to run it would stall and would knock a little bit.

Re: My truck is cutting off again

does it start right back up or does it take a while? I had an ingnition module that did this, sart run for a bit die run fine for an hour, die checked it at advanced auto and replaced it

Re: My truck is cutting off again

If it has HEI ignition that would be a good start. I had a module that would do that as well and I also had another one that the module hold-down screws were stripped and did not provide a good ground path and it would stall and not start intermittently.....that would be a good start, and one less thing to try and eliminate

Re: My truck is cutting off again

If you make the truck louder, it won't cut out at stop signs as much or as bad.
