which rear main seal is the right one?

so Oreilys website says both of these will work but I cant figure out which one is best for me. Already looked at the oil pan gasket and it appears I ordered the wrong one from summit. Should have stuck with a local parts house on all this as they are easy enough to find, but it was May so I was staying home more and ordering in. Which one of these is the best one for an old SBC in my 71?

This one says offset double lip and says improved design. not sure waht that means.

This one comes with the little glide tab

The 2 links you posted are the same art number...
I am sure either will work. They make those out of a couple of different types of material. From my experience, just buy the more expensive one, if you have any doubts.

The offset lip design is helpful if your crankshaft surface has a ridge from where the old/original seal was riding. The offset seal moves the seal surface slightly to hopefully a smooth, undamaged area of the crankshaft.

All the seals I've purchased over the years, regardless of seal design, come with the little plastic piece to aid in the assembly of the seal. This plastic tab helps prevent the backside of the seal from getting chewed up as you rotate the seal into the block. You can find install videos online if needed.
