Two-tone it

Can someone please do a red two-tone on my Suburban? A nice, deep red. I was also thinking of a grey or silver, wondering if that you make it not look period correct. The wife likes red, I'm on the fence so it would be great if I could get a twofer on the schemes. I'd like to keep the roof and middle white, so a strip at the bottom colored and a strip on top of the fenders, door etc keeping the posts white. Thanks!!

Re: Two-tone it

I will do it for you but it is a weird request only because the paint lines wouldn't look correct the way you are asking.

print this picture and draw the lines where you think the stripes should be and ill knock it out no problem.

Re: Two-tone it

This is what I was thinking. I started another thread looking for ideas and realized that maybe one thick stripe in the middle might be good also like the one I shaded in black. Not sure how much trouble it is for you to do this stuff. Thanks.

Re: Two-tone it

OMG you are so awesome!

So my original idea is a little nutty, looks like a candy cane in red. n In the other color it doesnt look too bad.

Can you do the 4th, 5th, and 6th ones with different colors? I'm not sure what color the lighter one is, it's coming through like beige on my PC, it actually looks pretty nice. The light green/aqua below I really like. And a slight metallic silver. Or just a grey, like the second picture I guess. What about the slightly light factory blue? And of course the pea green. And theeeen... what color/s do you think?

Thanks again, really really appreciate it.

Re: Two-tone it

Lol, I figured that you figured. How about a silver and a dark gray?

My interior is black, so I don't know what goes if anything. I'm really digging the turquoise in the middle.

What do you think?

I like all of them, really depends on what you want the feel of it to be.

I think the center section solid is period correct and any factory style color would look good.

if you are interested in changing the white you could do more but then wouldnt be as period correct.

Re: Two-tone it

keep in mind the picture of your truck shows the shady side not the sunny side so the colors are muted.

Re: Two-tone it

Thanks. I'm not interested in getting rid of the white, just possibly making it not look so much like a municipal vehicle or ambulance. I don't want to repaint the whole thing, the paint is only a couple of years old if that and I do actually like it. With all of the interior painted white and having black upholstery it's hard to see something that really feels right. The gray and silver most the most sense given this and really look nice, but I think it loses its period correct-ness. I dont think they offered silver anytime around them and it looks newer.

I see. The day was kinda cloudy in general, but yeah, other side is brighter.

Re: Two-tone it

you could also do a thin space to show white and another outline around in any color to liven it up a bit

Re: Two-tone it

the more you add the more it looks like the grille needs some paint treatment as well.

keep it simple may be best option

Re: Two-tone it

I was actually thinking about a blue line around the silver or grey
