Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build

well, the pic hide the dent well. i see the chipping chrome. I had a '76 the same color. I painted it lime green. it was my first attempt at bodywork, so my dad recommended a very light color to hide the blemishes. I wish I had a digital camera back then, or I'd post pics

Haha yeah, same story here. this is my first attempt at body work too. and you will get to see how "WONDERFUL" it turns out xD
Any tips for body work? even though my father is very skilled at it, he is busy with other things

Haha I know right...insane how green this truck is!
Well that will all change. plan on having custom paint job done by a friend *Yay* and gray interior. xD

And thank you! it would be done a lot faster if it wasn't raining and the 57 didn't take up the garaged....
Also I need a daily drive besides relying on this.

Haha yeah I feel your green pain. Any ideas for the custom paint yet?

Yet again I feel your pain, it's been raining here a LOT, and the caddy is in the garage. My poor truck is in the driveway with a goofy camper shell on it and a tarp hahaha. I do have 3 daily drivers tho.. so at least I don't have to worry about that part of it.

Well I know I want like a pearl white with another color, two tone style, but I am still looking through colors.

Ahh lol well the camper protects your chassis right?
Ah well I really wanted to get a 90's burb 4x4 and lift it for my daily driver. xD

Good luck.. It's a long annoying process. I STILL haven't found my exact pink I want.. It's either too purple, or not HOT pink enough. UGH. I just don't want something Kandy.. cause they fade in the sun, and my truck is gonna be seeing a lot of pavement and sun..

Haha.. actually it does.. but there is already a TON of surface rust on my backhalf.. FML.. oh well.. it'll come off easy..
Burb's are sweet.. I needed something lifted so I finally bought a lifted truck.. I'm likin it so far.

Nah its just super clean and well taken care of, also has very very low miles.
And for where I live in is different then all the rest. taken almost all the emblems off and this is the only one that has painted bumpers and two tone.
"For where I live at least"

here is a link xD

Yup, sad thing is... "its a Ford"
So I have plans on purchasing a 90s burb and dropping a Duramax engine in it with a 6in lift xD maybe more. "That would become my daily driver" I just need a job though.

I have been looking all over. So pathetic really.
I had to drop my other one cause of school and they couldn't do part time.
So now I need to find one that can do part time....

Hey I have a question, for those of you who wanna pitch in their thoughts about this, Do you think a patina paint job style would look neat on this square body truck?

It all depends on what you're doing to it. Personally patina paint job's aren't my thing, although when done right can look badass on the right ride. I prefer them on a little older car/truck than a 76. I'd like to see it painted but that's just my opinion, do what makes you happy.

My 2 cents..

I was thinking on those lines too. I mean you really don't see pantina on square bodys. so it would be different. but still. lol'

Yeah I think so too, oh that will look good on your model too, I have seen some pretty sweet blazers at the drags. I just need a good steady job to be able to afford major work to my truck, but this economy has kept me from doing that.
