72 Single Wall Hard Top Repair

Anyone know where to get a single-wall hard top repaired in So. Cal?

Also, I've read about problems people have had with the aftermarket hatch sold at Brothers. Is this still an issue??

Thanks!

Try a boat shop. They usually have a lot of fiberglass experience.

also try an RV repair shop, most of them are filon material now. what is wrong with yours?

i have done a little fiberglass repair and it isn't at all that bad to do yourself.

I'll get some pictures. The hatch is worse than the top. The hatch arm attach points are totally blown. I'll borrow a digital camera and get some pictures as soon as I can.

Thanks to everyone who has responded.

chriscostlow, save some money and dive in!
nice write up bentblazer, i just picked up a hard top for my blazer and it is in need of the typical repairs. also missing part of the rain gutters on both sides of the back of top where it meets the tail gate. can this area be built up with glass and formed into new gutters? do you use glass mat or a fiberglass filler?

Re: 72 Single Wall Hard Top Repair

If it were me I would do any structural building with mat and resin then finish with fiberglass filler, the filler is a little easier for finishing
