Tach install
I am installing an aftermarket tach in my truck, but I am finding
that the tach is too deep for the bezel, and I am going to have to remove part of the printed circuit board. My question is, has anyone tried to jump out the circuit board by soldering in jumper wires that will allow me to cut away part of the printed circuit board to make room for the new tach ?? Will solder adhere to the circuit board? This tach looks sweet with my white face gauges, and I really want to make it work. Any input is greatly appreciated!! Remember our soldiers!!  Thanks, Dan

yes, you can solder on it,,but you have to peel the green overlay away from the circuit to expose what is called the "Trace",,,itll work but i can tell you it is a MICKEY MOUSE way to do it ,,,and youll probably end up re-soldering it,again,again,again

Your better off buying a new repro tach printed circuit... it will give you the rear clearance you need more than likely.

I gently beat on the back of my panel and got just enough room to fit it in there and pulled the printed circuit tight...but it all worked fine.

...like Rod said. The original tach dash pc has lots of extra rear clearance. That is the simple and trouble-free method.
