NOW I feellike i belong here!

A couple of weeks ago I found this message board while surfing looking for a 1st generation blazer. After posting that we were looking we received a pm within a day. Took me a while to see it cause I have never been on a message board before. Well to make a long story short,my son and I now have our project a 1971 Blazer. I would like to again thank 69ssnova for all he did for us. He really went out of his way to make it happen, about 2 and 1/2 hours out of his way. Thanks Greg.
I have pics but I can't figure out how topost them,DUH?
Blazer needs 1 rocker passenger side, a rocker box on drivers and some patch panels behind doors along with some panels(I think) at bottom of doors. Any advice, help, prayers or cash is welcome.

Congrats on the purchase. To post pics, you need to click on the "POST REPLY" button at the bottom of the tread. About half way the window, under "Additional Options," there is a button that says "Manage Attachements." Click the "browse" button(s) and locate the image(s) you wish to upload. There are file type and size requirements.

Also, you can set it up so you receive an e-mail when you get a PM. It is under "User CP" in the nav bar.

I can't figure out how to do it to make sizes smaller. My photoshop program does it automatically for e-mailing and I haven't learned how to do it manually I can send everyone an e-mail but that might take a while. Wish my kids were here to explain it to me.

Here are his pictures. Looks like it is a nice solid truck. I like the winch fairlead where the front license plate goes.

Thanks again bouncytruck for helping me out. Have all parts for the winch but it's not hooked up right now. Don't know if it stays or not. Blazer was originally medium blue and hopefully one day will be again. Runs pretty well. 69ssnova drove it 120 miles to deliver it to me said he was doing sometimes 70 mph. Hope to sometime post "after" pics or get someone to do it for me. Where are my kids when I need them?

Thanks Brian my boy just turned thirteen and he is already talking about having it finished so HE can take it cruising! I told him he'd have to wait until daddy got home!

I didn't even notice the bumper guards. Does anyone know how rare they are on Blazers? Were they factory, dealer or aftermarket?

Wow, That is cool. My '72 has the hose heater. I might even use it this winter if it gets cold.

I have the saftey light, those hold downs are cool. Why is everyone making a big deal about them on the new trucks when our trucks have had the option for years. And the kidd welcome again to the board and good luck on your project.

Wow guys thanks for all the welcomes. Been shopping with wife today on holiday. Didn't know if bumper guards were factory or not. Might look better if bumper was chrome? We'll find out a little bit later maybe.

Welcome and congratulations! '71 Blazers are MY favorite!

That pamphlet is very interesting. I've wondered about a coolant recovery tank. Always seemed strange that it would just run out on the ground...? Too bad you can't order from the pamphlet!

I think it was Frank's Pickmups (in Olympia, WA) that said he had the recovery systems.

Hey my new blazer has the coolant recovery tank sitting right up front. I guess with the bumber guards and this it wasn't exactly a plain jane after all.
