Bench grinder wiring/rewiring

Not sure if this is the right section but here goes.

I have an old Companion bench grinder. Thing worked great until the wires fell apart in the cord and now it needs a new cord. It was a 2 prong cord and I would like to use a 3 prong cord to avoid shocks and what not. I am just unsure of how to wire it. I know some would say just buy a new bench grinder but I have all the parts and this thing worked great! Plus it is always fun to learn something new.

After searching the net I found that most people refer to a wiring diagram. I have not been able to find one online.

here are the numbers off the unit

Re: Bench grinder wiring/rewiring

The green/ground wire that you didn't have before just get's screwed to the metal case. You should have made a note of where the wires were connected before. Did you?

It should be pretty easy but some of those old things had a relay which might complicate things a little.
