Re: Under hood Jack Mounting question

It varies slightly by model year.

I assume you are asking about an '82?

Here is my '87 (driver's side mounting):

Tools are located on the RH fender inner; packaged behind the coolant bottle and inserted into a hole in the battery tray.

Re: Under hood Jack Mounting question

Thanks for the Pic. Yes mine is a 1982. Mine does not have the bracket that the jack sits in, I wonder if 82 was different or Im just missing that part..

I know this is old but hoping you, or someone, can tell me what the two pieces are in this picture; well one actually. I know one is the lug nut wrench but what is the other that is bent along with it? I'm trying to get mine set up as well.

-------------------------EDIT---------------------

I see it now, it is the bent bar that goes into the jack to raise/lower it.

Re: Under hood Jack Mounting question

The two bars on either side of the lug wrench are the handle for the jack. They are connected by a piece of U channel metal and two pins. You straighten the two pieces until they settle into the U channel and then connect one end into a matching hole/slot(don't remember which) to move and raise-lower the jack. The end for the jack is just out of frame toward the blower motor. The double bent piece is what you crank on to operate the jack.
