Floor repair help
What would be a good price to pay someone to replace the floor in a 67? I'm not sure if a full floor replacement is the best way to go for my truck or if I need just patch panels and new braces. The paint side of the cab is still nice and the outer rockers and corners are solid. But instead of replacing the floor braces someone just boxed in the old braces and left the old brace metal underneath to rot out so everything inside and under the cab braces are in pretty bad shape. The only other soft part of the floor is that channel that runs under the length of the door. That strip is thin and full of pin holes. Is there anyone close to northwest Indiana or the Chicago area that could help?

Re: Floor repair help
By the description you are giving I would about guarantee the rockers are close to busting through also. Pics certainly would help here in an honest answer to your question.

Re: Floor repair help
Thanks for the replies. I only have pics of the one brace that I thought I could repair before I realized it was worse than I thought. I can take more pics tonight after work. I also included a pic of the truck a few months ago before I tore it down to put it on a new frame. I removed all the rivets and bracket from the new frame and sent the pieces and the frame rails off to be sandblasted and epoxy primered. I have everything back and I'm ready to put the frame back together but this cab problem is holding me back. Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: Floor repair help
Great looking truck and hello from NWI! I just started repairing my rockers, floors, and supports. Yours look way better than mine did. I would say if you have all the tools (welder and such) give it a try. Looks like you already have the cab off and now is the time to do it. I should note that I have also never attempted this before starting my truck and wasnt sure what the hell i got myself into but it is coming back together pretty good.
Good luck.

Awesome truck! Yes, get yourself a welder and give it a go. Your truck is in much better shape than mine...I plan on digging in to my rockers/suports/floors/etc. in the next two years, after my girls graduate from HS.
