Porter Cable 7424 XP Info and/or Reviews

Does any have a Porter Cable 7424 XP electric polisher?
I have read good things about them online but thought i'd see if anyone here has used one.

I basically am wanting something polish my trucks with and not worry about burning edges & thats what I read was good about this polisher.

Thanks for any input.

Re: Porter Cable 7424 XP Info and/or Reviews

I purchased one and I am happy with it. I had been using Adams Polishes prior to the purchase and when it came time to buy I got an Adams combo package from them with the polisher, 4 pads and 4 bottles of polish.
The thing I like about Adams is they have an outstanding website with tons of instructional videos. Very helpful. They even have a detailing forum. Join it before you buy the polisher and you'll get a discount code.
Good luck....

Re: Porter Cable 7424 XP Info and/or Reviews

i have had my porter cable for about 5 years and love it. you can't do major paint corrections like a rotory but you will not burn any edges with this machine.all my veichles have good paint on them so i am polishing and waxing. it works great.i also use ADAMS products with great results.

Re: Porter Cable 7424 XP Info and/or Reviews

On the everything but the bed I just used 3M Perfect-It Show Car Wax and a Finishing pad.

On the bed I used a light cutting pad with 3M's Cleaner Wax before using the wax above.

I got the pads from Autogeek & I buy my 3M waxes at one of the OReillys that has a paint dept.
