Couple more pictures for the looking... Working on it when I have time, Wife keeps saying why didn't you just paint it and it would have been fine.. They just can't see the ending product!!!

Maybe I missed it but what application did that gas filler door hinge assembly come off of? What did you need to do to make it fit?

Came off a mid 80's model took the grinder and cut the face off
( the door itself ) then cut the base or hindge at an angle to fit the contour of the rear fender well and the other side tp fit were the bed stak pocket was. I took the plasma cutter and cut the bed stake pocket out.. But only the inside part of it.

Thanks. I have an extra filler door and a damaged bed side sitting around. I will play around with it and see what I can do.

Did you take any more pics of the modified area?

I just came across this build and it's looking good. Please STOP spraying and buy a respirator and some latex gloves, so you could enjoy this ride when it's done. Paint and primer will really harm you. And thats an understatement. I've painted for 25 years. Cool mods.

bought a new 3M mask, straps broke on the old one and had to get primer on it,, you no how it is got to do whatever it takes..

tons of work done & tons togo ,I've never built anything that takes as much time as this old truck, can't beleive I started with a $750 truck that ran good and mow I'm $7000.00 into it and still can't see a light at the end of the tunnel!!! Must be one hell on a tunnel!!!!!
