^*&*&(*$ PO...

Yet another discovery... The PO never hooked up the rear fender brace on the driver side (section was replaced and he never bothered). I kept having a bad rattling when I was accelerating- it was driving me NUTS... After MUCH exploration, I found out the fender was vibrating and resonating in the cab.

I ordered a new brace since the old one was rusted out. As I GENTLY tried to align the fender to the brace, the *()$* thing split down the entire weld seam. Split the paint and now I have another eyesore to focus on. So the weld seam is basically visible from the fender to the doorwell..

#@*#@($&@&^^^!!!!$*#@$*!@#*!)#!!!!

PO's are the worst. I'm so glad my '72 is almost bone stock!

I thought you were selling the truck.

You are correct- It is 'for sale'; however the vibration was a deterrent for sure; It was very noticable and very annoying. I made the repair in effort to aid the sale to the contrary- now I have some work to do, and I don't have the paint MFG or any info on the paint it was shot with.

I can easily repair the panel... Color matching will be an issue though.

Just another reason to say ($#(@$ it and hold onto it, eh?
