Wix blazers

What are the wix blazers worth? I know I've seen them on this board, but I never have known how much they went for.

They are on e-bay all the time. I've seen them go from $15 up to $60. Sometimes, there will be one on there with multiple bids at $40+ and another with just minutes left and no bids at $15. At swap meets, I usually see them for around $40. If you find one with the Chevelle on the trailer, I've seen them from $40 - $95. Just depends on timing.

Thanks,
If I could get a couple for members at $25 plus shipping, does anyone want me to stop and pick one up on the way home from work tomorrow?

I got mine off ebay about a month ago- that's one of the threads you read you're probably talking about. After S&H i think i got mine off ebay for someplace around $20 NIB. Came w/ everything it was 'sposed too, removable top, rearview mirrors, and police light bar. Mines the bank versian too. If you see the one with the trailer and chevelle though, as said , go for that , i wouldnt mind it if i had a trailer.

Also the 1/18 C/10's are sick too, i just got one and they're a bit more. I think $60 online? I got mine for $40 -/+ off ebay too.

I got mine from one of the traveling tool shows the first of this year. Think I gave about $5 a piece. Was listed as assorted banks on the sale sign, did not even see the blazers at first glance. May try the web site for show location or see if they still have any????

They are either 1:25 or 1:24 scale. The top does come off, but it kind of snaps on so I don't know if it was really intended to go on and off. The bodies are metal and the rest is plastic. Ertl made them in several different styles. The Wix Blazer, a fire cheif Blazer and a kit that you assemble yourself. I have the kit and I put a lift on it and bigger tires from an old kit I had to make it look like my 69. It is almost done, I just gotta finde the time/energy to finish it.

Here's the search I use for trucks/parts/etc. Someone posted this on the board a while back.

(67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972) (truck, blazer) (chevy, gmc)

You can then click on "Toys & Hobbies" in the left column. There is only one Wix Blazer on there now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...923367806&rd=1), but if ya keep watching, many different scale replicas appear. I have the Matchbox Mallard Acres 1:43 scale '69 Blazer too. I was the only one to bid on it and I got it for $12.

Yeah. the 1:43 is only like 4" long. It wouldn't really be great for modifing. I bought one of the Ertl kits so I didn't have to do any disassembly before painting it. Some of the online hobby shops carry them. I don't have any links saved though. This is the place that I got mine from (through e-bay) http://www.uniquelyautomotive.net/shop/

I think i was one of the ones who originally made a post on this. Mine's NOT a "fire chief" one, however a "united states marshal" , and it came with instrusctions on how to take the top off, so at least mine was ment to, i'm sure yours too.

Nah, that's just the way e-bay works. Especially when there are so many of us on the board all looking for the same stuff.

Good luck on it, if you don't get it and I see another one I'll let you know. I got mine a few years ago at a JC Penney's close out store here in Alabama. Not sure how many stores they have like that, but there may still be a few on the shelf at other stores???

Thats actually the first Penneys one I've seen before. I don't need any of them, I just want them. I've got one of the model kits that I modified to look like my '69 and one of the Matchbox Mallard Acres trucks.

What other scale models do you have?

I've got the one of models like in the last ebay link I did, One of the JC Penny's blazers, and two may be three of the Wix blazers. I got the Wix for around 5 each and I know I have gave a few away for gifts, so not sure on the count. Also have a few of the yellow AMT truck that was out 1&1/2 to 2 years ago.
Also do Hot Wheels, mainly 1st editions up till this year when they went to 100, now just the ones I like. I have the most of the step side's that HW did; the red, green, red/yellow, blue with 69 on door, but still need the purple one.
Also have both of the HW size Dub City LWB trucks.
May be more, but thats all I can think of right now...

Did anyone see the hotwheels on e-bay the guy was claiming were '72 Blazers from "the lost molds from China". They sure looked like S-10 Blazers to me. He had like 6 listed and last I checked, no bids. I even asked him if they were S-10 Blazers and he said the discription said they were '72 Blazers.

I remember seeing something like that several months ago. They sure don't look like 72 Blazers. "Lost molds of China" my A**. The way the chinese copy all the top brands ie. NIKE etc., you'd think they could copy a decent 72 Blazer.

By the way, anybody ever seen a model of a JIMMY?
