H&R Block can't connect...

Because I have to pay the feds rather than receiving a refund, I waited until yesterday to transmit my filing. For the last 24 hours I get a message "Unable to Connect". The website Downdetector has thousands of reports of the same outage. What's worse, if you close the program and try again, it charges your credit card another $19.95 for transmitting your state taxes.

Anyone here having the same problem? If I can't transmit by the end of the workday I'll have to go to the post office. Fortunately, I bought the software on Amazon, so I intend to get a refund. I'll have to work with my credit card company to get a refund on the state charges.

Unfortunately there are many people in the same situation waiting until the last day to file their returns too, so the system is stacked up is my guess. Good luck.

It finally went through. Now I just need to get the refund for the extra charges.

.

Good you were able to get it done the easy way!

I'm filing an extension since I'm not paying this year. I'll take my refund after all the hub-bub.
