Need to find a pretty rust free upper hatch for Suburban.

Hey, Since you've customized your truck so much so far, why not do the same with the liftgate? Shave off the driprail and make a frameless liftglass like the new burb's have. Could use tinted lexan unless you know someone in the glass business. Just a thought anyway!

BTW, Lets see some pics of that truck aired out...........

I like the look of the hatch or I would get the glass company I use to make a one piece hatch. I can cut out and patch the rust in mine if I don't find one just figured it be a lot easier to buy one in better shape. I will post some pics as soon as my buddy comes by w/ his digital camera or I have some of the ones I've took developed. The pinchweld ended up being 3/8" off the ground. it looks killer tukin about 6" of the 20's.

Yeah, I got fairly lucky w/ mine not being too rusty. My lift & tailgate are both nice(only 2 blisters on liftgate and none on tailgate!). I wish I could help you out but my parts burb's doors are all junk. I originally was going to lay the body on mine but I have the door bottoms on my 91' Sierra 2 1/8" off the ground and my Caprice wagon will be bagged if I ever get the time so I figured I will just go mild with this one...

Doing a hell of a job on yours tho.... Keep it up!!

I would ask him for pics of the inside bottom(where it meets the tailgate) of the gate and also the area on the inside where the handle screw go through... Doesn't look too bad right now for $50 though!

Thanks bagged and Oleblue I just placed a bid. It looks a lot better tan mine. It's very odd the rest of the body is solid except the rear hatch and lower quarters. Even the gate is like new. I didn't even think to check Ebay. Later
