Re: Motor id numbers

Well now there in lies a quandary!
With that info we know the nasty site is no good.
But still we know it was built in Flint on August 31.
The suffix code TAB can be found here.
Shows a 1970 250.

http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=10

Your casting number of 473483 I can’t find.

What’s this motor in?

Re: Motor id numbers

Someone put it in a 63 Chevy pickup. Starter is dragging. Will rebuild starter then do a compression test to see if motor is worth saving. Can all that pollution crap be removed & the motor still run ok?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Motor id numbers

We need a pic of your motor.
I suspect you’ve got an integrated head. If so all that crap likely needs to stay.
