Thank you. It has a ZZ4 create motor, th-400, Dana 60 up front and a corporate 14 in rear. Crossover steering. I drives great...a little rough but thats half the fun.

Anyone use a disc brake conversion for a Corporate 14. Just looking for any pitfalls.

Put a conversion kit on my 71. Absolutely no problems or pitfalls. Same Truck, same axle: now and before.

Un friggin believeable. Love the black rims against the green with the older truck. Your attention to detail is unbelieveable. Well done!

I am trying to do something similar with my 71 4x4 using 20" KMC Diesel rims. Assuming you used stock axles, how did you get your wheel studs to handle the aftermarket rims? When I went to mount my rims on the OEM wheel studs I found the studs to be about an inch too short due to the extreme hub thickness of my Diesel rims.

I have wanted to do the same to mine, but I would have to use the Eldorado calipers which have been a little hard for me to find, and when I do find them they are too expensive.

I don't want to lose my emergency brake and as far as I know, that's the only way to keep it. I have seen some other new calipers with the built-in ebrake on Speedway, but I'm not sure if they will work.

If you don't "need" the e-brake or need it to pass inspection, then the conversion is the way to go. There are a whole lot of how-to's all over the 'net that show you how to do the conversion.

High Angle Driveline makes an E-Brake kit that mounts on the driveline. It is a bit expensive, but works better than the El Dorado calipers.

Also, I believe that Pirate4x4 has a "14 Bolt Bible" that has wheel stud info. I think that it gives part numbers to different size studs that will work in 14 bolts.

I found some longer studs at Napa for the corporate 14 rear. The problem i had was with the dana 60 front. I spoke to MHT FUEL SUPPORT ABOUNT THE SHORT STUD PROBLEM, THEY CALIM I ONLY NEED 5 COMPLETE TURNS TO BE SAFE, I HAVE ABOUT 10 OR 11. I WOULD LIKE THEM LONGER BUT THEY HOLD GREAT NO PROBLEMS. IT IS WORTH TH LOOK'

I've had a 59 1 ton since 79. put the running gear off a 73 3/4 ton 4x4 suburban under her in 98. North of 750,000 miles. I've done construction from Austin to Fairbanks. I'm nearing retirement and I'm ready to start taking her to the next level for off road camping. Do you mind questions?

I would leave the drums as they work fine and have a very good e-brake. Spend the money on a fitech or such.

On the 67 I have disc on my 14 bolt (9.5) with Camaro calipers. All work fine except not an e-brake anymore and barely a parking brake.

I like 4 wheelers.
