Where to buy U01 Cab Lights/Gaskets?

It seems LMC no longer carries these and eBay has the aftermarket ones that mount to a roof without the factory mounting pads.

I am looking for replacement gaskets specifically but also lenses in case some of mine are cracked (and bulbs as well).

Use the search function and look for board member Rogerkoop. That's where I got my gaskets. Hope this helps.

Signal Stat 1313a has the correct lenses. Not 100% accurate base.

Those have been discontinued for years. Im sure there are some out there somewhere. The part number is 12337349.
Also give Ron a call at Manes Truck Parts, he did have some a few years ago. 816-230-5949

Re: Where to buy U01 Cab Lights/Gaskets?

please send me a pm to remind me to get you all the info but these are common and sold everywhere truck lite 1313a

I also have some gm factory packaged lenses and they're signal stat 9069 lenses inside

I got a nice set of well rated led bulbs cheap on amazon that are very bright but not too bright to wash out the amber color.. same bulbs for side markers and will work with correct flasher..

only difference I noticed from all the later replacements and the original factory installed lenses is the longer boss around mounting screws that depress into the seal.. if this interferes with your install, they can be sanded flat but they're meant to squeeze into the gasket hole to bolster the seal around the screw.. once led bulbs are installed, you could carefully apply some clear silicone to enhance the seal without overtightening the screws and distorting the lens base where they fail most often..

happy to share if reminded

Re: Where to buy U01 Cab Lights/Gaskets?

Does anyone have the dimensions to install these on a cab that didn't originally come with them? Or know where to find them?

the info you seek is in here somewhere, but I'm tapped out on the 30 sec search cycle limits so you'll have to take over from here..

there is a layout diagram posted at least once in here that will show you where they go on a non-humped roof..

now here's a discussion thread I did find that has a LOT of food for thought..

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=701065

installing U01s in a non-humped roof may create clearance issues as the sockets are mounted vertically, recessed flush with the upper (outer) skin.. however according to some of the testimonies I read, they will sit and seal just fine on the factory curved roof without the flat humps.. how they address the lamp socket hanging down in there, I don't remember..

another school of thought is that on trucks without the factory humps, the dealers or upfitters would have installed the yankee 77 style where the lamp socket is horizontal and nothing protrudes underneath.. suburbans for instance would fall into this category.. according to what I've read, no suburbans came with U01s.. and being a single roof skin, no inner sheet metal only headliner, they would have had yankee 77s installed as well..

this is all from memory from the other threads I've read so please don't quote me..

good luck!

I got mine here. Has the correct base with the socket in the bottom, but no part number on lense.

that's interesting, you can almost see it in their picture, looks like lens number is not there but they describe the assembly as such - Manufacturers Part Number: 1313A which would have the 9069 lens.. either way, sure looks right to me

I have a few from several places, all have the signal stat 9069 part number on them except the one OEM I have left.. it seems from memory, they changed the composition of the plastic somewhere along the way.. interestingly, the old GM p/n is scare to non-existent where as the newer one is still molded on the bottom of the flanges of every one I have from various sources..

here's a recent thread where the best preserved OEMs I've seen went for a great price.. only trouble is they are very fragile so little bit risky if planning to install.. and what do you do these days if one breaks, cracks, etc. ??

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=8478495

here's another one for comparison in an old Delco Guide box..

http://www.2040-parts.com/1930s-or-4...3133-i1484515/

same ones were OEM from my 71 longhorn.. p/n on lens flange 5963133 and looks like 81A on the top..

all the rest of these have the 9069 on top with the GM p/n 684662 molded on the mounting flange regardless of packaging..

from a blue and white GM box, I have a couple of these..

from Koop's kit, on my longhorn now..

signal stat packaging

truck lite packaging
