Wheels for a lowered 65?

Hi,
I have a chance at picking up some wheels for my 65 c10.
I have a 6 lug 5-1/2 bolt pattern disk brakes in front. I will be doing a 2-1/2" drop spindle drop in front with a 1" drop coil. The rims are 15x8. Will those work okay with that drop? Need help quick as the guy is moving on them fast!!! Please!! Thanks guys!

Re: Wheels for a lowered 65?

Pretty sure they will. I'm in process of putting wheels on my 65 and tried a 15x8 and it was fine. I've since changed it to a 15x7 just because I went from 15x10 on the rear ( they were too wide ) to 15x8 with a slightly wider tire so, I wanted a little smaller tire in the front. You could probably sell them if they don't fit. Good luck!

Re: Wheels for a lowered 65?

Also what tires are you gonna run on those? White walls? Numbers on tire? I gotta order those next. Was gonna do a thinner white wall but don't know what would look good size wise on those rims. Thanks

Yes, I have front disc brakes. Tires were 255/60 x 15. Using a 295/50 x 15 on the back with 8" wheel.

Re: Wheels for a lowered 65?

If it ends up not working, you can probably sell them and make a little money. I think they will work.

very nice wheels. I have 15x8 corvette style rally wheels on my truck with I think 4 1/2 bs and they work fine with dropped spindles an 2 in lower springs

Re: Wheels for a lowered 65?

Okay guys, another question.
I do like the center caps that came with the truck, however, my idea for te wheels was to have a push thru bullet center cap. Well, turns out the diameter of these rim's center hole is just under 4-1/4"!!! The outside diameter of those center bullets that I have seen are 3-1/8". Any suggestions? Are there wider ones out there? Should I just be happy with these caps and call it good? Thanks
