Get rolling again

I have a 65 C10 in storage at a friends yard. The tyres on it are shot but all the stores I have been to say they don't make the 10-16.5's I need anymore.

It's a 6 bolt pattern (sorry I don't have more details, the truck is on the other side of the city) are there any suggestions on what other rims will fit to get some tyres fitted to it moving again? I want to get it to my house but the shops all want to sell me brand new rims and tyres for $800. Just after some knowledge before I go running around wreckers or shops again.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

it should be the same 6 lug chevy pattern they have used for years. you should be able to find a set of 15" 6 lug at the junk yard or craigs list.

Re: Get rolling again

That is true that about 95% of the 16.5 tires have been discontinued over the last several years. As 62bagger said, all you need are some 15" 6 hole wheels. Compatible wheels were used up thru '92. The main thing to look for is that the center hole is large enough to fit your truck. The hole needs to be at lease 3.5" in diameter.

Re: Get rolling again

Got it sorted, thanks guys. Couldn't find any 15's but some mis-matched 16 and 17's just fit. That will do for now. Next weekend it's coming home!
