I'm looking at a 1969 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4X4. It is an automatic with a 400 cu in engine. The truck has less than 90,000 documented miles. The original owner is the sellers uncle and it has been in their family since new. He has full survice records, manuals, and original bill of sale included. It is lifted with approx. 35 in tires. The only rust is under passenger side door and will need a new floor panel and rocker panel to fix. Surface rust on the frame is the only other. It come with a few options such as tow hooks. Seems like "too little" rust fo up your way...I'd inspect everything again. I guess price is relative to region. In So-Cal, that would sell for about 5k-8k, depending on rust factor. Hard to tell with that little pick though....BUT it was one of 4930 ever made that year so It's value is only going one way

the 400 V8 isnt original, but it does sound and look sweet.

I guess my point was that how often does a person change out an engine at 60k. Oh well, PO's do strange things so who knows!

He told me that something happened to it in the shop and that the mechanics put this engine in as a replacement. Who knows what to believe. Maybe they dropped something down the manifold. ???

I'd say it's worth exactly as much as you are willing to pay for it. Not tryin to be a smart *ss, but it's all relative to your desire to own a 1st gen Blazer. Good luck, hope it works out for ya!

Is that blazer on a lot? If so expect to pay more than when buying from a private party. I payed 500 for mine 4 years ago, it was sitting in someones front yard down the street from my house, It needed just about everything.
I wish I had waited and spent more for a nice one. from what you have said I am assuming it is unrestored and has some rust and probably needs paint too. my guess would be it's worth between 2250-4500 depending on location and availability of other rigs at time of purchase.

I live about an hour from the auction were the blazer is, they are hard to find in decent shape in B.C. mine came from california in 1995, 90% rust free 80,000 miles mostly stock and has the original power train. I bought it a year ago probably spent to much and still put alot of time in it, but i wanted it. You don't see to many in this area, if it is in decent shape and has very little rust it my be worth 6-8k it all depends on what you want to spend. you could pick one up for 2k put 600hrs of body work and 8k in parts and still not be done. take your time and look around, the milige sounds a little of and if it has a lift kit it may have been bagged on, who knows It might be a great buy but check it over. It is a small picture, but I'd say in the US$5-7K range. The engine sets off a red flag. Check to make sure the transmission and T-case are correct and not a "frankenstien" job.

The lift and tires look more like a 2"/33" combo than 35's. If you can get better pictures, post them!

I'm just going by the description and what I can see of the picture. I paid over $9K for my '72 and $4k for my '69 4 years ago. My '72 had 103,000 miles on it when I bought it - but it is 100% rust free!

I paid $4500 for my 1972 Blazer 4x4 last year. Truck runs good, but has rust in both doors, tailgate and rear quarters. That's Canadian $, bought in northern Alberta. Based on the small pic and description, $5000 to $6000 Cdn. is not out of the question. Getting tough to find in this part of the world. But as usual, check it out, which might be tough at an auction.
