I just read through all 50 pages, well it took me two days, but Im kinda sad that you sold it... but family is first... gonna be referring to this thread a lot for my 69 GMC LWB build! thanks for the journey and more for the info!

Well guys just had to post an update. Even though I no longer own this truck it's clear that the new owner loves what I did. He had some minor rust repair done then repainted the whole truck the original red. Then he painted over the red with white and rubbed it back down to how it was before. I find this really cool that he kept it the way I made it. Worth posting a pic just for that reason

Great thread. Mine is all original and I'm going to drive it and upgrade it as I go. Looking for the same stance as Shawn's truck but might go drop member to make it more bulletproof

I'll take a bunch more detailed pics soon and try to keep a record of the build up. Its just getting a few things fixed so I can pass safety inspection and buy insurance for it.
