Question 700r4 question

I got the trans installed but I need a good troubleshooting site. When I drive it shifts late and hard I still have alot of room for adjustment. I know if it is too loose it will shift quick and soft. Any help would be great.

Truck is now finished to the new owners design and running around.
I was shown some pictures of the finished product. At least it survived the junk yard.

Re: 700r4 question

Sounds like TV cable adjustment to me too. Swore mine was going to put me in a neck brace until I found out what was going on.

These folks built my tranny. http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml

They also have a great write up on adjusting the TV cable.
Click on the "TV System" link/button.

Also, try this page for a quick overview

Re: 700r4 question

TCI just came out with a new valve body for 700r4 that makes adjustment of tv cable much less critical. It keeps line pressure up and only uses the tv for down shifting. Check it out...http://tciauto.com/WhatsNew/Files/TC...eValveBody.pdf
