700r4 question

i am installing a 700r4 and on top of the transmission there is a little tube that looks like it is either for ventalation or for a vacuum line from the carb or something. i was just wondering what it might be for and if it is a vacuum line, where the other end of the hose should be connected to. thanks in adavance,

Re: 700r4 question

It is a vent, just make sure it is clean and leave it alone.
All automatics will have this. (any that we'd be looking to install in these trucks anyways)
