Thanks! It's almost been at this particular body shop for 9 months. We're a little anxious at this point.

No kidden. Custom rims are so expensive. Will probably explore that route further down the road once the pain of the paint cost eases.

It has the Early Classic Enterprises 4/6 drop kit installed. I think this should tighten it up quite nicely. We do have some lowering blocks for the rear if we need to bring it down any lower in the rear. But then we will get into a definite c notch situation. Hoping this works ok for our needs. I hope to talk dad into bagging it one of these days.

Ha, yeah.. Last December... I think they missed it a bit. To be fair, we did find lots of shoddy body work by PO that had to be fixed. But now that we are down to the part that was supposed to go fast, they've been getting slammed with insurance work. I know they are motivated to move it out now so they can get some of their shop floor space back. We're hoping to have it completed and back in my garage within the month, but it could stretch longer if it goes back on the back burner.

Thanks Mike!! Progress seems too slow to me, but I'm glad we are finally showing some. Ha! I just hope we can get it back together to enjoy before winter arrives.

Re: Project Where'd The Money Go

Wow nice front clip! I'm trying to jump around as many builds as I can to check up on things, the truck is looking great. In my cheapo build plow truck experience, the clip is all bolted together and doesn't exactly "slide" into place on the cab - how will you do final assembly without scratching that pretty blue? More than one extra set of hands probably helps a bit, huh?

Thanks for sharing.

Well, the paint/body guys are gonna be responsible for that so that if there are any scratches, they can fix 'em. Ha! I imagine they will be very careful since they've been working their butts off on this.

Thanks, Heath! Loving yours too. So dumb question for something we haven't considered that I just read on your build.

Groundstraps....How many should you have? I thought there was just one ground from engine to body... Am I missing the point or other pertinent details?

Re: Project Where'd The Money Go

Regarding the ground straps, i knew there was one on the bed to frame, and cab to frame, but apparently there are 5. I found and printed a list for a reference. let me see if i can find that thread

edit** found the link:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=ground+straps
see post # 3

.• From each valve cover to the firewall
• Pass. inner fender to frame (underside)
• Pass. cab mount to cab
• And as mentioned one from a rear cross sill to the frame
