8’ Bed rails ?

Trying to finish up. Anyone have a connection for 8’ side bed rail just like the ones on my truck that have been cut off to accommodate a tool box.

Re: 8’ Bed rails ?

Both Jegs and LMC used to sell them, but I no longer find them on either of their sites.

Re: 8’ Bed rails ?

I should’ve been more specific and said “used originals”.

Re: 8’ Bed rails ?

I looked for a set also but to no avail. I made a set out of white oak and they came out very nice, so I say. Stupid me changed my mind and went with a cover which covers the holes in the top rail. My rails now have a place standing in the corner reminding me of money and labour spent on a whim. It could be worse as I could be looking at roots! Have a good one.
PS. I would like a set of the aluminum running boards that Dee Zee used to make but only when I break down and make a set will I realize that I don't need them but they will look good in the corner also.

Re: 8’ Bed rails ?

The bed rails you want are Genuine GM accessories, but for the next body design. They were really popular with 67-72 owners and I bought a set from a dealership in SC as recently as the late '90s. GM offered a style in these years that had a round rail. Looked more like what you'd see on boats. You never see those on trucks. If you find a nice set of the '73-ups they'll likely be very expensive, since Squarebody parts are out of this world

What you show are bed caps, not rails

If this is directed at me, I gave information in an attempt to help you. I gave that info after reading the other comments talking about Jeg's, LMC, JC Whitney...all of which never sold these genuine GM accessories. Maybe LMC did, but that was a while ago. My thought was to set this thread on the right track so that you stood some chance of getting a lead on what you are actually looking for. Your thread has the odor of a WTB. Since you said "a connection" I let it slide and offered assistance instead
