It has been forever since I have been able to post a pic of my truck (couldn't resize the pics). Making no progress, but here is my shop with the old beater taking up space!!

The last pic shows the Vintage Air installed. It is the sure fit unit that I had them modify so I have nothing on the firewall but the hoses going through. It will use the stock controls that way.

Thanks guys! The air was around $750 I believe. I did not buy the dryer and the compressor at this time. I'll wait until I have the motor. I just wanted everything to be ready for paint. I welded the mounting brackets in for the air so there was no bolt through the firewall.

How is your Blazer going Alexis? I lurk on here every now and then, but we bought a small business and it has taken all of my time and money.

Glad to see you back, I too had wondered what had happened to you and how the truck was going. Gonna be kind of a shame to cover up all that nice powder coating isn't it? LOL!

Hey the truck's looking good. I kinda wish I went with the Vintage air setup but it a bit too late and the cash flow would not allow it. I got that truck I was building done there are pics on the pitcure board "pics of Project67 shorty" It might be a page or two back but they are there.

When do you think the truck will see the paint shop ?

That looks great. Definatly need to get together since we are so close. My motor came from together so that was a major setback. but yours is looking great.

Alexis, I checked out the threads. Your Blaz is looking great. It is motivating when you get that old rust out isn't it. I'm pretty burned out on body mods. I have all the rust work done and just have marker lights to fill, tailights to figure out, and minor things to weld up. I'm just burned out after fixing all of the rust!!

Mario. It is great to see your truck done (finished?). I had saved the money necessary to get in the paint shop this Summer, but the wife decided we needed to pay off a couple bills first. I agree, I don't like debt and she lets me keep an expensive boat down at the lake, so I guess there is a trade-off. I need to get my one piece windows ordered so I can make sure they fit and are mounted and then I will be ready for paint (after the remaining welding)

Someone asked about the Vintage Air. They make a kit for our trucks that is called the sure-fit kit. It is designed to use all factory holes, cables, and controls. Problem is, is while it does away with the big box on the firewall it also has a big plastic plate that covers up the holes. I wanted the custom firewall, so the modified the hoses on the back of the unit so it will take advantage of the stock look in the cab, but be custom on the outside. I think they charged me like $75 to make the mods. They knew exactly what I wanted when I talked to them over the phone and shipped it right out. It fits great and took about 25 minutes to weld the tabs in and it's done.

i understand, i got got burnt out so I took a couple of weekends off after failing to get anything done. This weekened I feel pretty set on getting something done. I wanna take her to HAN. Complete or not.

Did you say Burnt out fromrust repair ? Wow You actually had floors ! My truck did not have rockers on it when I bought it. They were rotted right off.
I can understand the feeling. I really pushed myself to get it done this winter. I call my the guy who Sprayed my dads 66 Beaumont (Cdn Chevelle)I asked him when he could spray it. He told me 2 weeks I was out in the shop every night from 6pm till 2:30-3 am. It was the only way I could get it done.

My truck is not "Done" but the dirty, crappy, bleading, and yelling bad things at it is pretty much done.

I still need to install the rad support and hang the front clip. I have all the trim instaled on the grill Oh ! it looks so killer. Still need another 4-5 G's to get it finished/driveable.

I installed the 1 piece window kit in my 67.(non power) I hope you have 4 arms or a good friend who can help you out.It's a pretty good kit make sure you glue the front weather stripping into the channel. Oh and have a look at the inside of the door where the weather stripping fuzzie clips in there is a notch make sure you shave it straight. I missed it and everytime I see it it bugs me. I can get a pic in a couple of weeks if you need them. Oh and if your are really smooth you can drill the hole in the front of the door right now so you will not have to remove them after paint. (I did thanks to Pont for the help)The other thing I would suggest is getting a roll of 3M green tape and tape the entire area around the window opening so you can't chip the paint.
