Talking More than I thought!

Trying to get things ready for the 2019 Hot Rod Power tour next week. Last minute stuff. I blew one of my rear helper bags today. So I ordered 2 new ones. Figured if one blew the other one may not be far behind it. New ones should be here Friday.
I worked on my cruise control and got it back working, Don't know what fixed it because I took everything a part and put it back together and only did a minor wire fix to the one brake wire. I put new spade connector's on my AC compressor switch behind the duct work in the cab. It was 93* out side today but the truck AC was running good at 40*

Coming back from Mississippi 2 weeks ago I figured out why the AC kept cutting off. I first thought it was freezing up but it was one of the connectors on the ac switch.
Changed the oil & filter also today.
Tomorrow I get the hanger fixed on the exhaust that's broke don't know when that happened. Then tomorrow afternoon I'm going to work on the rear disc brakes again and see if I can get them better. CPP rear brakes are a ***** to adjust.
That should be everything I hope!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

When I worked as a mechanic, during the trouble shooting of a rough-running Ford, after going through the entire sequence of tests, it might run better. In fact, the manual we had told us that if disconnecting and reconnecting all the harness connectors for the ignition system while checking the components, if it still ran rough, change the module. Seemed like a kind of cheat, but I'd rather run through the trouble shooting sequence instead of just selling an ignition module...because the customer would be back in less than a week with the failing part failed "hard". That's embarrassing. In your case, disconnecting and reconnecting some plug/socket connections made them better. Seen it many times.

ETA- good luck on the Power Tour. Bring home a trophy!

Took the truck and had the hangers on the exhaust fixed. Got back home and started on the rear disc brakes. I started @10:30 this morning and took both sides completely back a part and put it back together per the CPP websit and the brakes work but my pedal feels like goo! It's nothing like it should be.

Yes I bleed the hell out of them again!

I cleaned up the two back wheels while I had it torn down also.

Those style brakes are based off late 70 early 80 GM they are not self adjusting. They adjust when parking brake is applied

Correct and I use mine all the time and it want even hold the truck still in my drive way. I'm going to adjust the cable some more today and see if that stops it.

I was bored today waiting on the helper air bags to arrive. I have been wanting to get the wheels on the 64 painted with red lines, but I wanted to see how they would look first so I bought some pin stripping and did it myself. I think it's a go on getting them painted on now for sure.

I got done with the SS and was taking the pictures when the ups truck pulled up and delivered the bags. I got them installed and the truck rides like it's on air again!
