LS engine covers? (stock or not)

I came across this really clean looking LS swapped Squarebody, engine.

Does anybody know on these covers if they are stock on a LS engine (the 2 big white arrows are pointing to the covers I am talking about)?

This set and one other set are the only sets I have ever seen.

Can somebody shed some light on these covers.

Mine too. I think the Vortec Max trucks had them also.

Re: LS engine covers? (stock or not)

Those covers came on a lot of trucks. The VortecMax, SS's and Cadillac Escalades all had them. They are usually found on LQ9s.

Re: LS engine covers? (stock or not)

You can still get them new from GM. Just bought some over the summer for my 1968 LS swap. My engine is an L33 with a TBSS intake. Fit just fine.

part numbers I ordered are as follows:

the upper cover number is 19355583
the drivers side cover is 19355582
the pass side cover is 19355580
intake manifold bracket 12561510

you will also need some misc bolts and
rubber grommets but these are the major parts.

Good Luck!

Yep, they sure will. I installed them on a 2006 5.3L L33 engine that I retrofitted with a Trailblazer SS intake manifold. There were a few modifications i had to make because of the TBSS manifold, but these should bolt bolt right up to a stock truck manifold of similar vintage without any issues.

Re: LS engine covers? (stock or not)

Can anyone tell me if this will fit a 5.3 with truck intake. Current intake cover has two bolts instead of one.

Thanks,
DH
