Barry,

Me and a buddy want to go halves on this stuff to do two beds, is one kit, one gallon? If so is one gallon enough to do a short bed? I am guessing we'd get two kits and a gun unless you think we'd need a third gallon?? LMK

Mike

Re: BarryB's Coatings- Forum Stimulus - Till August 31

Sangermike, I'll PM you my Number. It would be better if gave me a call.
70rs/ss, yes one kit makes a gallon . I would probably go with three kits to make sure you had plenty. But only mix what you needed on the thrid gallon. It comes with the catalyst , and activator. you can measure it out so you don't have to use the whole gallon at once.
PM me if you want , with when and where you want it. I'll send over the paypal info.

Not as a standard color,But it can be made any color you want. You'll need to go to your local paint supplier and get 8 ozs of red color per gallon. If you want to know more , feel free to ask.

Re: BarryB's Coatings- Forum Stimulus - Till August 31

Here's a Chevrolet Colorado, I did yesterday. I did it out in my driveway with basic tools. I hoping to show the ease of these kits for the DIY'er.
It rained last night so there is water in the bed in the pic.

So, is it 150.00 for the whole kit or just the gun? I don't read so well

Re: BarryB's Coatings- Forum Stimulus - Till August 31

You'll get one kit enough to make one gallon, and the spray gun for 150.00 shipped. The gun is reusable over and over. So if you need to spray more you can later.
Let me know what size truck you want to do.

Any body looking at this thread feel free to ask any questions about Al's Liner.

Just a note, it depends on if you have a long or short bed. You can put a thin coat on a short bed with one gallon I would definitley say two for a longbed. It's not needed to spray it thicker, but if your personal preference is to have it thicker, than you would need more material.
If you want a thicker coating later on down the road. The good thing about Al's liner you can spray it overtop itself with alittle prep work.

Re: BarryB's Coatings- Forum Stimulus - Till August 31

Hi Barry,

From what I have read so far, I will need a little more than the one gallon kit to do a 93 GMC long bed, is this correct? The kit with gun is 150.00. What would be the total cost to order enough to do the long bed?
If Im not understanding this correctly I appologize. I want to coat my bed in the next few weeks and am verry interested in this product.
Thank you

yes you read correctly. You would need two kits. the kits are 95.00 additional. so 245.00 for 2 gallons, and one spray gun.
Thanks for the inquiry.

How big of a compressor does the gun require? Can you use other guns or just that one?

Thanks.

You can use other guns, you can brush it on roll it on, The reason the Al's liner gun is suggested, is because you can control the texture. It just looks better also when applied with the Al's gun.
As for how big of a compressor. I wouldn't hesitate to use a maybe a 6 gallon pancake compressor. I usually regulate my spraying pressure to 45ish psi. So a smaller compressor should do fine.
Have anymore questions feel free to ask.
