Hopefully a simple question. Blazer frame.

The rear end of my blazer has taken a beating. The PO had a hitch welded in, a bumper welded in and its just beat up back there. I want to replace the back 12 inches or so. Do they sell c channel roughly that size that i could cut the old out and weld in some new metal? Im not having any luck finding a frame i can use as a donor.

Thanks guy.s

Re: Hopefully a simple question. Blazer frame.

The rear 72 frame rails extend all the way out to the bumper and require different bumper brackets, and gravel shields than a 71. Also, your 71 will not have the cutouts along the rear lower panel of the body to clear the frame rails. Just some things to consider if you go with 72 rear rails instead of 71 rails.

I was not talking about the very end I have both complete frame rails cut into pieces was thinking maybe a section will meet the measurements he needs and will be able to use that. 71 and 72 both have the same outer bumper brackets only difference is a 71 you would need the inner brackets and the 72 bolts right to the frame rail.
