68 GMC Short Step BRUISER

68 GMC Short Step: Bruiser

Ok well to start things off, I bought this truck when I was 17 out of Cherry Valley, CA. I had bought it with high hopes of restoring, but with set back after set back, I am now finally going to get it going. Here are some pictures from when I got it.

Plans for the truck:

- 6.0 ls motor with 4l60E
- 2/4 drop with some nice wheels
- decent paint and body (not show quality)
- My main reason to build this truck is to tow my 69 Nova to the drag strip.

Progress is going to be slow because I'm 19 working a part time job and going to college. Let me know what you think. I'll post up some more pictures of the progress that I have made.

Re: 68 GMC Short Step BRUISER

I brought the truck to my friend's machine shop where we took the body off of the frame. Here's some pics.

Oh and here's a pic of my Nova and Daily Driver.

Re: 68 GMC Short Step BRUISER

Thanks. I plan on getting a 6.0 and 4L60E out of a newer chevy truck and maybe doing a cam swap, but thats pretty much it.
