Matt, I think a supercharged 383 will be way faster than a stock LS, But with a supercharged 383 you will also need your own gas station as it will give you about 8 to 10 MPG, compared to a LS 18-20 MPG so if gas is not the issue and you really like olsdkool motors go with the SC383.

my brother has a 68 C10 with a 383 and it eats gas like a 1968 6 door Cadillac Deville, But his trucki is really fast, and also depends on tranny and rear gearing set-up.

I like my Vortec Max and will never go back to carburator.

that looks good! Haven't seen that version of coil relo brackets...their original version placed all 4 behind the head and used longer plug wires.

Re: LS swappers, post up your pics!!

A new pic of the intake with the fuel rails on now that we got the different injectors.

The intake is from Holley & it's pretty new on the market. It's actually meant for a little higher RPM band than I need so I'll loose just a bit on the low end, but with a manual transmission I can compensate anyhow.

I felt it was worth the trade-off to get the exact look I was after!!!

Just be aware if you start looking at one - it requires smaller injectors & a different MAP sensor.

I have 90% of all the parts to complete the swap. thebuilt 4L65E trans is coming this saturday and the Harness from S&S performance should be here within the next two weeks. This puppy should be up and running by the end of this month. i also picked up a 56 stepside with 80k original miles on the clock. Gotta finish the 84 b4 I can play with the 56. lol.
