Re: Make a park light blink?
I think i have it, how about running park light pos. Through nc side of a relay, to the leds, then using blinker hot to remove the power through relay to light? Sound right?

Re: Make a park light blink?
Should be able to ground the park light to the +12v on turn signal. That is how it is done on the 71-72's factory side markers. Park light will alternate with turn signal. Led's may complicate it. Does not hurt to try.

Re: Make a park light blink?
Leds would def be different, cant use them as a pathway....have to use diodes , and maybe an electronic flasher, any other ideas? I can figure it out but would be nice if a “box” was already available..lol

Re: Make a park light blink?
I'm not sure of what you want are if it's possible. The parking lights are separate system from your turn signals.
Parking lights come on by the head light switch. They are only on if the head light switch is used. The turn signals are on all the time because they run through the steering column turn signal switch. If you only have one wire to the LED's the the rear tails will flash also when you hook the fronts up. I have a set of head lights with the parking LED's & turn signal's in it and they have their own separate wires. I never hooked the blinkers up just the parking lamps.

Re: How to make a park light blink.
On my 51 Pontiac project, the front park lights are single contact sockets so I though I would use them as daytime running lights. But then I had to come up with a way to have front turn signals.
I found that my electronic flashers will flash a relay, so I bought some bright amber LED bulbs with the 1156 base and drew up a circuit to flash them. You will need two relays, one for each side. The only weird thing is that the front signal / park lights will flash off when the rear signal flashes on. (But who sees the front and back at the same time?) Here it is:

Re: Make a park light blink?
As Andy mentioned park/tail and turn/brake lights aren't the same. The brake and turn signals are the bright filament so they show even if the park/tail lights are on.

Re: Make a park light blink?
That should do the trick. The reason I went with the relays, is that I wanted to have the park lights on bright rather than ~half power.
I tried the same method as you came up with when I built the LED tail lights for my Suburban using the LED arrays from a couple of Hyundai SUV's hi-level brake lights. I just couldn't get it to work the way I wanted.

Re: Make a park light blink?
ive modded park lights into blinkers before by changing the bulb sockets from 1156 to 1157...
