Hatch handles

Does anyone know of a t handle that resembles the stock handle more than the generic ones Brothers try to pass off as a "reproduction". Trying to find one that has the chamfer at the base of the escutcheon and is not hollow on the back side of the handle.

I've been looking for a source for the one below from Weston Body Hardware but haven't found a distributor that carries it. The ends of the T curl inward too much but I think it's a better looking handle that the one Brothers stocks.

Re: Hatch handles

If you are after a new handle check the website for motorcityK5 as I believe they sell a reproduction that you can compare with the piece Brothers sells.

Re: Hatch handles

The ones from Brothers and MotorCityK5 both look like the generic locking t handles you can get off Amazon for 1/4 the price. The one from MotorCityK5 looks like it sticks out further but otherwise the same shape, back side of the t is hollowed out and the escutcheon is cylindrical where it meets up to the handle.

Re: Hatch handles

Is using an OEM handle an option for you?

Re: Hatch handles

If I could find a decent one I'd prefer the OEM handle. Had I known they were so difficult to find I would have tried to save mine. Mine was seized up in the latch mechanism and I cut the square shaft off to get it apart then tossed it.

Re: Hatch handles

Here is the best one I have left. The base has some porosity as you can see in the pictures. If you would like anymore pictures let me know. 250 shipped if interested, the base and handle were rechromed. Also, had a key made for the lock.
