Trans Cable Shifter Linkage

I picked up a Lokar cable shifter assembly 1804 for my truck. Finally got it installed and for the life of me could not get it to shift to all the gears. Had to remove it and go back to the rod style assembly which works great.

My reason for going to the cable as to eliminate the vibration in the column shift lever due to the idle quality of my motor. Figured the cable system would eliminate all vibration and movement when you accelerate.

Has anyone got this working?
