What do do with old 67-72 dash insert? (7-hole)

Hey y'all, I've been cleaning out the shop and pulled this relic out of a corner.

There's no freebie section and I can't post it in the parts area (sub expired), should I feel bad about throwing it in the garbage? I'm not the creative type, so I can't think of anything fun to do. We have anyone on the forum who rebuilds dashes that could use it? I can't remember who back in the day was refurb'ing dashes.

Not looking for money. Just a good home where it may get used.

I hear you. I have a bunch of parts for cars that I've had but are long gone. A lot are new in the box. I have no use for them but I can't bear to throw them out. Hopefully someone can use it.

Member TBONE1964 is a dash guy. Maybe he might want it.

Hope you can find a home for it. I can't throw out parts either. Still have OEM mirrors, front bumper, AM radio, air cleaner, points-type distributor..... and maybe a few other things that have been replaced on my K20 over the years.
If I ever get rid of the truck, those parts just might go with it.

Just a thought. Why not keep it and carefully cut out temperature and put it where everyone puts the vac gauge. Use it for a trans temp gauge?

Oh, I don't have my '68 anymore, so nothing to put it into. Another member bought my '68, finished off the last bit of work then put a bunch more work into it and tried to sell if back for like 10x what I sold it for. I wanted it, I just don't have that kinda money and gave him a freaking smokin' deal on the sale

I'm getting ready to overhaul my shop space. Can't make it any bigger, but I can at least make it better. In the process, I've unearthed a few parts. Some I sent to another member here. Had I found this, I would've sent it also. But ...

I'll ping TBONE, thanks for the suggestion Paul.

In the 60-66 message board, there's a thread called the "paying it forward" thread. It's a thread for doing exactly what you want to do with this lens, give it to someone who can use it. There might be one for the 67-72 section, but if not, you can start a thread in the 67-72 message board about your desire to give it to someone.

I always try to include parts with anything I sell. The problem is if I can find them .

PM me your address and I will send you one. It may not be perfect but it sounds like it will be better than what you have.
