With tilt the column is black,as well as the steering wheel, dash pad, defrost vents, top of dash,a/c vents, maybe the belts but I'm thinking Parchment, and everything else Parchment. The only '72 Cheyenne Super I had with Parchment interior didn't have the original belts in it.Carpet is black, too. I believe w/o tilt would be Sandalwood
Nice theory, but here's the exception. Here's my original Super with no tilt. I think this may have varied depending on the plant and/or whatever was handy to throw in at the time the truck came down the line.

Joshua - the gray paint is really strange, isn't it? Photo taken mid repair?

We've had this discussion in other threads over the years and I know the '72s came either way. I only added the tilt reference to give how the black took the place of the Sandalwood parts. The question was which parts would be Sandalwood in that variation. I think it may be a Cheyenne Super thing vs Custom Deluxe, too.

That is a factory light sealer that is sprayed around components passing through the firewall.

News to me.

It's hard for me to pay good money for a great truck when the seller feels the need to

I talked to the owner and he told me the same. Overall in my opinion he seemed to be very straight forward. What do you guys think this truck is worth? I know they are worth what we are willing to pay for them, but whats a fair value?
