86 Jeep j10
Just finished the engine swap and repaint of my wife's J10. Been about an 18 month project that I did myself (with a break over the colder months last winter) and really enjoyed the work, it was a fun project and turned out pretty good, she's pretty happy with it!
![]() After the swap was finished I sanded everything down to bare metal and put a nice coat of SPI epoxy on it and finished off the project with SPI pure white base and Universal clear. Body was rust free but had a lot of metal finishing on the bedsides that took awhile but it turned out pretty nice and has a minimal amount of filler. Before ![]() After ![]() Under hood Before ![]() After ![]() Dakota Digital Dash ![]() ![]() ![]() Raptor bed liner ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Didn't do this myself, one of just a few things I didn't personally do. ![]() She should be good for another 30 years I would think! If you are interested in my build you can find more detailed info at: http://fsjnetwork.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5484

Re: 86 Jeep j10
I am in pain over whether to get a truck or a Wagoneer. Love these FSJ.
Be checking out your build!

Love, Love, Love the J10/20's, almost bought one in 1985 and should have, probably would still have it.

Re: 86 Jeep j10
That turned out great. I love those trucks and Wagoneers, and the first gen Cherokees. Rust has really taken a crazy amount them though, I don't know when the last time I saw one that was rust free in person.

Re: 86 Jeep j10
There is a nice Wagoneer right down the road from me that has not moved out of the garage in 20 years ,I would love to have a chance at it.
