I believe that classic parts makes the actual lights that fit in the ends of the bed rails. They are kind of expencive though.

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

PICS PICS PICS!!! Front and back bumpers are on, I need to make a filler for between the rear bumper and the bed and the front bumper guards are still at the powder coat, (they are my favorite part of the front end!) exhaust is done, shocks are on the rear... Bed floor will be back in and mounted tonight.. Now on to finishing the trans tunnel, then time for the interior and audio system.. I have some great ideas for the fabrics and design.. The rear license plate location is kicking my a$$ a little but I might cut a box in to the rear bumper... Its gotta look like it belongs in my world.. Then its time to pull of some cool little detail items I have floating around in my head ...

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

This truck is sick

Had a question for you, I'm in the process of doing the same swap, a 48 chevy on a 91 s10, I'm also bagging this truck and am using ekstensive's rear kick. I was wondering on there drawing they say to center the kick 32" from the front bed mount to the rear. This seems short when I lay it out on my frame. Was this a shortbox s10 measurement? I see you also used the ekstensive kit so thought I would ask if you can recall what the measurement was where you placed yours??

Cheers

Very cool love the truck. Can't wait to see what else you do. Have any pictures of what you did for front shock mounts. I have the stuff they sent me with the kit but no idea of how it goes.

That rear bumper is tucked up tight.
Hang the tag off the side of the bed like a old farm truck . just put one bolt in it so it hangs crooked

I agree with this, like a plate on a chopper, straight up and down off the box structure. Just make it quick disconnect for shows, the truck looks great.

The kit I used the two link kit that bolted right to the front leaf spring hanger... Then I placed the notch where I wanted it and welded it in.. There were no measurements needed... Not sure what set up you have.. Can you post a picture?

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

Bed floor is in, Wheel tubs are in, made a sheet metal piece for around the fuel filler neck and made a gas cap out of the original horn button... Worked on the trans tunnel too, it will be completed tonight and the floors will be ready for Dynamat.. Couple of pics for you all with "Ivy" hanging out with some friends in the shop..
