My '88 s-Blazer V8 2wd

I've been waiting for a decent day to take a couple pics. So, here they are! I have done all the work myself so if you have any questions I can answer them. If money allows it might get some color this year.

Here's some shots of the sunroof. It's a whole roof section from a '89-92 Ford Probe. It was the biggest one I could find at the junkyard.

Very nice! I usually don't like unusual mods, but I like those taillights. Do the turn signals blink sequentially? That would look REALLY cool. I like the stance too. Not too low, but low enough to look aggressive.

Taillights don't blink sequentially YET. But they will before I'm done.

Re: My '88 s-Blazer V8 2wd

did you retain your A.C.?
I just ran into a snafu - I was told to get a Tripac brand low profile condenser to go with my Corvette/Elec. fan combo in the forward position (s10V8.com). Tripac doesn't carry them anymore, so I'm stuck trying to find an alternative. I guess I'll head to the local custom A.C. shop, but those guys are goona rape me. I'm running carbed 350/700R4. originally a 2.8, so just bought the mount brackets. I had a 4sp man tranny, so I'm switching to auto/column. I bought TCI's lock-up kit. I'm excited to get going on it. got everything lined up and ready to go, just gotta get the column and 4.3 accessory drive from a donor to swap over.

I've never gotten around to hooking up the AC yet. My radiator sits in the stock location, and I will use the original condenser. I'm also using the factory column shifter. And 700R4 with the Painless Wiring lock-up kit.

Nice job. Truck is gonna look good in paint. I would love to do one of these. Maybe even a prostreet truck with a big block. 2 front seats and little else inside. Anyone know how many two wheel drives where made. I know they are kind of hard to find

Lots and lots were made. You just have to come a little farther south. They are plentiful around here.

Re: My '88 s-Blazer V8 2wd

Thanks, it looks a little different now. It has 17" wheels and a full old school fiberglass ground effects kit. The mirrors are from a Subaru XT. They match the mounting shape of the oem mirrors very closely with minor shaping in the bottom corner. And they're power! The grille is an old school part no longer produced. I may go a different route once I mount my Toyota bumper mounted though.

Re: My '88 s-Blazer V8 2wd

thats too bad they dont make them anymore it looks good.
the only aftermarket grilles today are those UGLY ass billets and phantoms.

im thinking im going to keep the 4.3 in there.
its got 180k on it and works flawlessly .
unfortunately the good ole 4l60e is a piece of garbage.
im getting it swapped out for a 4l80e so i can pull a trailer.
also not a big fan of roll pans myslef they are too big of a target for idiot drivers.
