Lot of views...questions concerns... ask.. .The only reason the inside of tailgate is painted black was to protect it... No cover ups....no probs...I took this off my 69 Chevy C-20... Only reason this is for sale is because I am working on 70 project now... don't need... Take a look at my album for the 69 and that should reassure you. I also included a before pic of the bed and tailgat and after I painted it..

Since you asked for feedback, I'd say it looks like an after market repop to me. My reasoning for is, there are no letters and the ends are popping apart. Pretty common issues on aftermarket gates, and chevy never made one without letters that I know of. Not bashing just giving my opinion as you asked.

NO MAN....THANKS SO MUCH... I have done EXTENSIVE research and owned 4 67-72 trucks and never knew this... Looks like the spot welds on the outer skin on both sides have been pulled apart. Might be why so little interest. Not slamming your tailgate, just letting you know.
