Hatch repair, where do I get these parts

Have started repair of hatch, was inoperable and couldn't be shut. Pics in my build thread.

After pulling it apart found some issues and need to source some parts.

There is a handle reinforcement which I cannot seem to find online, and the clips (is in first pic) that hold rods. Any leads to where I can get these items, thanks

Re: Hatch repair, where do I get these parts

That piece is not reproduced, I may have a good used one I'll sell but will have to look. The rod clips at the handle I can't find either, they have a tab that is straight. Everything online had a 90 tab so I've been using on door rod clips. There's a left and right in the doors you just need to figure out which one works best. Also, some of the tabs are longer than others so that comes into play sometimes.

Another question. Can someone tell me the specifications of the screw, No 7 in image. I believe this bolts into the reinforcement piece

Sorry, I meant to share the info that those parts the business lists are available. He does show the clips but I’m unsure if those are offered by themselves. The owner is a good guy.

The metal reinforcement is probably not reproduced but perhaps the vendor has something similar as he is offering a reproduced hatch that presumably has a similar reinforcement.

I did send him an email, and message via FB page, yet to hear back, as I was thinking/hoping the same. I have an order with them for other pieces that I placed last week, but no shipping notification so if they do have them hoping can be added. I will try and call them tomorrow but with time difference it is a little tricky.

The clips they show look identical to ones that were used on our 60 & 70's locally built GM Holdens, so I have ordered some from local supplier, and will see how they go.

Appreciate your assistance

As was mentioned earlier, if I have no luck I'll have it repaired or a new one made.

The original ones are the same as Carburetor clip that hold the metal accelerator rod/linkage to the Carb. Might have better luck searching that

I've tried, there is no straight ones to be found, they all have the 90 degree tab.

I spoke with Motor City K5 on Monday, he does make them for his repro hatch, but wasn't selling as an individual piece. I had one made here, will give it a coat of paint before installing

Part 2.
I am looking for the rubber gasket that mounts under the hatch handle and the rubbers that are on the hatch rods.

What are the rubbers on the rods called and what do they do?

Re: Hatch repair, where do I get these parts

You’ll have to make your own gasket using the old one as a template.

That rubber item looks like a plug used to secure insulation to the firewall. The loose rods I’ve had made use of a foam rubber block like those for the tailgate rods as an anti-rattle precaution I suspect.

Pete are they the same as the ones on tailgate rods, circled here?

Re: Hatch repair, where do I get these parts

Those will work. What I seem to recall is those for a hatch being slightly smaller than those for a tailgate. If that’s the case, those listed by LMC should be easily trimmed down.
