1972 Blazer ORIGINAL color

Another question from a newbie that hasn't had a chance to research this stuff and hopefully can get some help from this site.

Where does it have the info. for the original color of the Blazer? Does the Blazer have a cowl tag like on older cars?

Welcome to THE Board from Atlanta GA

The paint code and other options are on the option sticker on the inside of the glovebox door.

Here's mine.

Once you read your glovebox options sheet - then you can go to this site to look up the code for your paint depending on the year of your truck.

You know --- I Don't have a clue

It's a 72 CST. I don't have a roll bar or exterior tire carrier or tach guage cluster so I don't have a clue. Isn't there a site somewhere that will tell you what the option codes mean?

"Special promotional" should be the highlander package. It was avaliable on a CST Blazer.

Wow. I didn't know it was a highlander.

If it was someone changed the seats out before I got it. My seats were just plain black.

First of all, thanks so much for the information!

Ok...on the option sticker it would have the paint code for the vehicle, and all the options. Does anyone have a close up picture of this sticker? The one shown is great, just a bit blurry.

Would this also tell whether it was a CST model or not?

Hey Nubomb- looks like you do have a highlander blazer!!! That is so cool! Any other options that go with the highlander or is it just the seat covers?
As far as the CST model goes I am not sure how to tell. I know mine is a CST, but only because the guy told me it was?!? Hmmmmm thats one to think about.....

The Highlander option was available only when the 'CST and auxiliary top were ordered. It also came with black carpeting, full instrument panel, steering column and wheel'. Not sure what they mean by the column and wheel statement. The package also had its own color/trim combinations.

The CST package came with an additional high-note horn, special cowl insulators, split side marker lights, woodgrain body moulding, chrome bumpers, 'CST' nameplate on each door, trim mouldings on the pedals, console between the front buckets, spare tire cover, and wood grain inserts in the door panels.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but I thought I'd pass along the info...

Hat Guy I guess my paint color was medium olive green. It's the color right next to the option sticker between it and the darker green.

Paul thanks for the info. My seat covers were just plain black when I got the blazer, they must have been changed. I wonder what full instrument panel means (does it mean tach?) because I don't have one.

Joesjunk ,
Your 2-wheel drive Blazer has a factory steering stabilizer? I didn't know the factory ever did that.

That is just the stabilizer BAR on the front. It just makes them handle a little better.
