Can't believe that belt fit! Don't forget clamps on those radiator hoses Looking pretty great. Are you close to firing it up?

Re: Freddy's 52 part 2
Everything is in test fit stage in pictures probably gonna use the heat shrink hose clamps on the hoses so waiting till everything is just right and still have to paint waterpump and accessory bracket. Got wiring harness's loomed last night and plan on taking next week off so if everything comes together maybe late next week we can. I might have to take my computer and have VATS removed before we get to fire it up. We shall see.

Re: Freddy's 52 part 2
Been awhile since any posting, but it's ALIVE. Had some crazy battles but got them all worked out...Eugene got's his first bath in Lord knows how many years last Saturday and plan on hitting his first cruise in next Friday. I will post some updated pictures later. Getting seat covered this week and started sound system installation last night. The last picture is after I put my not yet famous "RAT SHINE SAUCE" on it. Let me know what you think of the difference.

Very nice looking truck!
I would like to see the truck before after the "rat shine sauce" . Maybe share the Rat shine sauce receipe? or sell some of it.

The "juice" is simply linseed oil with a little paint thinner sprayed on thin and wiped off. I'm not a fan of clearing "yet" but this is way to give some shine as well as protect the truck. It washes off with a couple washes so it's like doing a protective wax between washing. |

Re: Freddy's 52 part 2
I may have to give some of this 'rat juice' a try. Everyone says I should paint my truck or at least clear coat it. I'm not a fan either of clearing my truck 'yet'.
Is it a 50/50 mix? Do you have any more before and after or in progress pictures? I'm glad to hear it only lasts a couple weeks/washes. Thanks. |

Re: Freddy's 52 part 2
Wow that looks awesome!!!!
But why paint thinner? Wouldn't the linseed oil just wear out over time with washes? Wouldnt you worry about the paint thinner removing some of the original patina paint that is left on the truck? |
