Any way you go with your truck will be good, its sharp the way it is, TT'2 are hard to beat so is ralleys. One fine ride!!!!!!!!

I vote to lower it and put the TT2's on. I drove a 71 SWB hugger orange Cheyenne, stock w/ralleys for 15 years and stupidly sold it. On my "new" SWB 72 I put a 4/6 ECE drop w/ 15" TT2's. If I had done it to the 71 years ago I would still have it. I kept all my old parts in case I want to put them back on, but once you do it you will never go back. Old school slots w/ a drop would look cool too.

I was thinkin about those old Kidney Bean rims, but I'm sure they are hard to come by in a 17 or 18 inch rim, and wide enough for some meat in the back.

Looks clean . Its a truck to be proud of just the way it is.

Or is it that you are borde of the same look and want a change? The problem is I like both looks!! I love the stocker look, but I also like me some shiny rims. I don't want to mess with this truck too much, as I said before it's pretty stock. But at the same time I want it to stand out a little more than it does right now. I don't have the funds to start another truck (or time for that matter), or I would just leave this one alone and get creative with something else.
Thanks for all of the input folks! I will be pondering this awhile while I install my A.C.
The Compressors on, the dryer and condenser are on, now to take the original heater stufff out and put the new stuff on the firewall and under the dash. I can't wait for A.C.!!

American Racing makes a salt flat special that looks similar to a kidney bean.



So-Cal, my truck is bagged the front has spindles, home made bag mounts, 17x8 245-45-17. the rear is bagged with a huge bridge, 20x10 is the wheel and 305-50-20 is the tire. the rear suspension has the stock trailing arms but they are kicked up in the rear like the frame.

It actually sits the bumper on the ground when deflated. but i think it looks better sitting the way i showed above.

It is a very nice rig how it its, but if your asking the question, that probably means you want to lower it. It's your ride man, do what you want! If you don't lower this one, buy another and paint it the same but bag it, slam it and put on some 20's. It would be pretty cool to have two.

Something to thing about

If it were mine, I'd find a larger tire/wheel combo to fill the wheel wells and enjoy the fact that you're in the minority.

A subtle drop would be my second choice, something that makes people stand back and say, "There's something different about that truck, but I can't quite put my finger on it". If you do anything more than that, then it's just another lowered truck. Big deal.

Yeah, that's true...... there aren't many stock trucks running around these days.

I agree, keep it stock......it's soooo much easier that way plus you won't have to use your imagination. Also by keeping it at stock height you can hang out with the 4x4 guys without feeling out of place.
